Greetings! Welcome to our site. Our site is our common meeting ground and history of our organization. We were formed in 1993 as part of a national organization dedicated to sound energy management. Members range from highly trained Certified Energy Managers to retired individuals with and interest to help our communities.
Some of our members are the largest producers and consumers of energy in the state. Others are trying on a individual basis to help the community. Members are volunteers and receive no compensation for their time or service. These members form a active network that helps to achieve great successes through out the state of Utah.
I want to extend an offer that our board members will help you get to the resources, equipment suppliers or utilities that can lead you to the final solutions of your energy problems. This network of business, government, and utilities is VERY useful for information exchange and learning opportunities. We feel strongly that sharing success stories shows the way for others to do similar projects. I encourage you to look at the APEM “Archives” on this site for examples.
With the ever increasing prices and decreasing resources, APEM hopes to minimize energy usage with no impact to life styles. Keeping our environment green and healthy has always been a priority and goal of APEM. To do this energy managers require broad technical training in the mechanics of energy use; knowledge of finance, marketing, and other business disciplines; and effective management skills for informing and motivating employees and colleagues. Information exchange is a key point at APEM.
Why should you be a member of APEM? The Association addresses the entire range of professional concerns common to energy managers by providing educational seminars, CEM certification, tours, database access and individual dialogue. The Association facilitates dynamic interpersonal networking processes for sharing information about energy and the environment among all energy professionals.
Being a member of APEM could well emerge as your best value in assisting you and you community with energy conservation and cost reduction.
Please take a minute every month to visit our site and plan to visit some of the tours we schedule. OR sign up for our free news flyer. Annual membership applications can also be found on this web site. Membership helps to keep this web page on line along with minimal operational costs.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site; we look forward to you joining us at a future APEM event.
Best Regards,
Denny Rucker President Utah Chapter, BSEE, CEM, RMGA, EPAU
